Santa Claus Is Coming To Town!

On Saturday December 22, 2018, Santa Claus will be taking a break from his very busy Christmas preparations at the North Pole to visit Port Jervis. Santa was unable to bring his sleigh or horse and carriage this year so Mayor Decker and the Common Council authorized Santa to “deputize” City of Port Jervis Police Officers and Firefighters as official “Elves” for the day to drive Santa around on the PJFD Ladder Truck escorted by a police car and provide hot chocolate and candy canes to help sweeten the day!

Everyone is invited to join Santa in his visit by meeting him at one of six locations during the day. Santa will be very busy after his visit, and wants to make sure he allows plenty of time to return to the North Pole so he has to follow a very carefully planned schedule.

To help ensure you have the opportunity to see Santa, Santa scheduled the following itinerary:

11:00 am- Arrive at Engine 5  West End

11:40 am – Arrive at Orange Street Fire Station

12:15 pm- Arrive at Engine 2 fire station

1:00 pm- Arrive at Engine 4 Fire Station

1:30pm- Arrive at City Park Located on Barclay Street in Tri-States to be hosted by Engine 6

2:15 pm- Downtown Port Jervis.

This special visit is brought to our community by the City of Port Jervis, Port Jervis Police Dept. and Police Benevolent Association and the Port Jervis Fire Department.

We hope to see you on Saturday the 22nd!
