Port Jervis Police Department Policy requires officers to file a Use of Force Report to document the force used by officers in the course of their duties. According to the New York Division of Criminal Justice Service, the following criteria are used to determine Qualifying Reports in the State Reporting Database. When an officer engages in conduct that results in the death or serious bodily injury of another person, or when one of the following is initiated by an officer:
