When choosing your child restraint, it is vital to ensure you choose a car seat that properly fits your child, fits the vehicle, and will be used correctly every time you drive. The City of Port Jervis Police Department is proud to announce that Officers Nicole McGowan and Thomas Kimiecik have recently graduated from the National Child Passenger Safety Certification Training Course to become Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians.
CPS technicians put their knowledge to work by conducting child safety seat checks, where parents and caregivers receive hands-on assistance for proper use of child restraint systems and safety belts.
As Certified Technicians, Officer McGowan and Officer Kimiecik possess the knowledge and expertise to give one-on-one personalized instruction to residents on how to properly use their child’s car seat. CPS technicians do so much to help keep kids safe, from car seat checks to helping parents and caregivers understand all they can do to prevent unintentional injuries in and around cars.
Scheduling a session with one of our safety seat technicians is a good way to ensure your equipment is properly installed. To schedule an appointment, please contact the Port Jervis Police Department at 845-858-4065.
