PORT JERVIS, NY – The Port Jervis Police Department is pleased to announce its 17th Annual National Night Out celebration. This community-focused event will take place on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Riverside Park in the City of Port Jervis.

National Night Out is an annual campaign designed to raise awareness about crime and drug prevention. It also encourages community involvement in local anti-crime efforts, builds stronger neighborhood bonds, and improves relationships between the police and the community.

This important event celebrates law enforcement’s dedication to building strong partnerships among various community groups. These include local health and human service providers, faith-based organizations, local businesses, schools, civic organizations, and emergency services such as police, fire, and EMS. Issues like crime and substance abuse are community-wide concerns that can be addressed through collaborative efforts, and Port Jervis Police Department (PJPD) is committed to making the Tri-State a safe and healthy place for families and individuals to live and thrive.
