“No Knock” Search Warrant Leads To Two Arrests
On January 4th, 2019, Port Jervis City Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group executed a Port Jervis City Court ordered “No Knock” Search Warrant upon a premise located at 103 Ball Street, second floor apartment, in the City of Port Jervis.
Officers arrested Roberto Sanchez, age 48 and Billie Jo Bensley, age 38, both of 103 Ball Street, and charged them as follows:
Roberto Sanchez charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell in the 3rdDegree (Class B Felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both misdemeanors. The defendant was arraigned in Port Jervis City Court and remanded to Orange County Jail without bail pending further court appearances.
Billie Jo Bensley was charged with the misdemeanor crimes of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The defendant was arraigned in Port Jervis City Court and remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $750.00 bail pending further Court appearances.
A quantity of heroin was seized from inside the apartment.
Orange County Child Protective Services assisted Port Jervis Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department with this investigation.
The Orange County District Attorney’s Office is prosecuting this case.
