Fowler Street Altercation- Multiple Victims Stabbed with a Knife

On 26 August, at 7:36pm, Port Jervis City Police Department Officers responded to 56-58 Fowler Street in the City of Port Jervis for multiple reports of a large altercation occurring at the multi-family apartment building resulting in several persons being stabbed with a knife.

Officers arrived at the scene and learned that three Port Jervis males suffered multiple stab wounds and several other individuals suffered physical injuries physical sustained during a large altercation occurring at this address.

The victims were transported to Bon Secours Community Hospital and Orange Regional Medical Center for emergency treatment and are currently recovering from the injuries sustained during this incident.

On August 27, 2020, Port Jervis Police Detectives arrested Ronald Dingle, age 25, of Port Jervis, New York, who was charged with 3 Counts of Assault in the Second Degree, class D Felonies, Tampering with Physical Evidence, a class E Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, a class A Misdemeanor.

The defendant is currently being held in the City of Port Jervis Police Department lock-up facility pending a City Court appearance.

The Port Jervis Police Department were assisted at the scene and during this investigation by members of the Town of Deerpark Police Department, New York State Police, Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
